I have a fabulous friend who I chased down in our university days, who is still one of my very best friends. (I really did have to chase her down. She had her nose in a book and was annoyed at being interrupted, if I recall properly. A real kindred spirit!) She’s now a bookseller, a book reviewer and a card making enthusiast. Anything she puts her mind to, she does with style, and I admire her immensely. I have never met a more interesting woman than my friend, and I can always count on her to be excited with me on my new releases. HIS UNEXPECTED FAMILY was no exception.
I was so thrilled to find this card in my mail box…
She made both of these cards, but the lavender card is the one in honor of this newest book release. The cream/black card she made for my previous book release… I keep them on the top of my writing desk because I never quite know how to celebrate my book releases, and when I receive I card from Jess, it just feels … complete.
❤
Those are gorgeous! I’m so envious of those with such talent. In art, I have none. One of my online friends also has the creative make-something-beautiful-from-bits-of-scrap talent. How wonderful to have such a friend, one who celebrates wholeheartedly with you.
I’m not great with physical art, either. I can write, but when it comes to arts and crafts, I don’t have her flare.
Awwwww. Thank you. :Dj
I don’t read romance novels very often. I was upset with my husband’s family and needed to bury myself in a book (always makes me feel better). I’m not sure what drew me to your book, but I’m glad. My husband hadn’t planned to marry either. He had testicular cancer when he was 14 and could not father children. He told me on our third date since he didn’t want me getting to close to him. It was too late. I had already fallen in love. He was 29 and I was 34. A first, and only, marriage for both of us. Do I miss that we didn’t have children? Yes.
In a small way your book has blessed me with family. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write me, Diana! I’m going to email you back privately. 🙂
