As I type this, the rain is coming down in a miserable, drizzly, gray downpour. And it’s perfection!
I love being at home, and being closeted away at home by the weather is absolutely ideal! There is no cozier feeling than being inside a warm home with warm lights and warm tea, while outside, it’s cold and damp. It’s the outside equivalent of a chilly room and a warm quilt. And it does wonders for my serotonin levels.
My son is a lot like me. We introduced him to the concept of baseball this summer, and his response was perfect:
Son: I love baseball! This is great! (Runs from the room.)
Husband: Where are you going?
Son: I’m going to write a story about it.
That child is after my own heart! My best adventures happen when I sit down and write about it. Leaving the house–unless forced for grocery shopping–is entirely optional. This weekend, bring on the quilt.
I literally just sat down.
Your son is an adorable sweetheart (but, you already know that)! We’re having the same weather here in Philadelphia. It feels more like the first weekend in March rather than the first weekend in October.
He really is! 🙂 I hope you enjoy your rain, too!
Sounds like you got it made and while you are resting think of a good GOD bless you story for us and let us know when it hits Walmart. A friend gave me a ;pack of old stories to read from steeple hill books and some love inspired from way back to 2011. and I am working on 2 Bible studies by Beth Moore. Beth dose the best Bible studies when you are done with those studies you pretty much know your Bible. We did Esther and David, Danial, and now we are doing James and bad girls of the Bible.
But today is a cleaning day and I am making pancakes for breakfast. The sun is shinning and it is warm in my apartment. A good day for a good story.
I’ve read Bad Girls of the Bible, and really enjoyed it! 🙂 It sounds like you’re having a nice day, too. Pancakes sound perfect right now!
