But it does make me think about the things that matter most in life. My husband and I were reading Michelle Obama’s memoir, and the thing that struck me most was Mrs. Obama’s incredible climb. She started out poor and disadvantaged and ended up in any Ivy League school, in a high paying job as a lawyer and married to the president of the United States. And all through that climb, all of her accomplishments, all that she achieved, her biggest treasures were her family.
I can be a bit of a workaholic. I love writing books, ticking things off my to-do list, and that feeling of accomplishment that comes with growing my career, but I can’t lose sight of what matters most…
…finding jokes that can make my stoic husband laugh. 😉
